This is not a self portrait
The girl in the image is one of my closest friends, I don't make or keep friends often but she has remained important to me for the past 7 years.
Another part of my major work series, you must be finding it odd (if you've see the previous upload
) but I do tie this whole thing together, hopefully convincingly enough but of course there is only so much static photographs can do
I will be uploading the whole series soon as soon as I complete it before assessment next Wednesday.
I am nervous and apprehensive, there's still quite a bit I have left to do.
Also, through the last week and this week I've learnt to let go and just say "Fuck it" I can't please everyone and although I've made an effort to reach out and hopefully understand the other end of the argument better I have been ignored continuously, so fuck it. I'll do things the way I like, my style, my way. It's time for me to be strong and be confident about my own work and stop thinking that it's not good enough or not worth it. Even if I am going to fail (which I might according to the slip I just received) I will not have failed to stay true to myself, corny as it sounds.
Yes I am happy with this image, I love the location I'm happy I found it, I'm happy I found the perfect dress, I'm happy I found the wig to make the whole look complete and I'm so happy that I have my own Venus, I couldn't have picked someone better or more beautiful.
Model: Daphne (she's also appeared in the steampunk dress series)
(Once again I hate Deviantart categories)
(If you are wondering, she was styled after Botticelli's Venus)
